About This Event

This panel discussion with two children's hospitals will address approaches to wraparound services for behavioral health. Akron Children's Hospital in Ohio and Children's Mercy Kansas City in Missouri have school partnerships that proactively address the growing behavioral health needs of children by leveraging school nurses and social workers.

  • Describe how a children's hospital can extend services and expand partnerships into the community to mitigate the behavioral health crisis by using schools. 
  • Articulate the importance of early identification of behavioral health needs as a critical prevention strategy to maximize academic and health outcomes for students.
