Children's Hospital Association submitted comments to the Senate Finance Committee on its bipartisan proposal to make improvements to the Medicare Graduate Medical Education (GME) program.

The comments urge the committee to ensure that any efforts to reform Medicare GME bolster Medicare-supported pediatric subspecialty training in children's hospitals that are part of larger health care systems. They also urge the committee to support increased funding for Children's Hospitals Graduate Medical Education (CHGME) and to work with the HELP committee on ways to bolster the pediatric provider workforce overall.
